This was a commission inspired by the ‘Gold Not Knot Ring’, but she wanted something a bit more delicate. The client wanted to repurpose her existing jewellery into something more wearable.

My client had some inherited jewellery, all of which she didn’t like the aesthetics of, but one of the rings, a triple garnet ring, really reminded her of her late grandmother.

We decided to create a ring stack in mixed metals, with lots of texture that highlighted the stones, had a contemporary look, but still retained an antique feel.

The stack is the 3 rings, with some extra silver I made an extra 4th textured ring that can be worn with the stack.

After making the ‘Silver Not Knot Ring’, I wore wore one of the prototypes myself as I loved the design. I loved it so much that I waned to make one in gold for myself as one of my signature pieces. I wear it every day.

The Sputnik Necklace uses family gold and gemstones, repurposed into a necklace, which was worn by the client on her wedding day.

These earrings were made for the bride from repurposed heirloom jewellery from her mother and grandmother.

The bride and groom had met in their youth and fallen in love. He had given her a gold ring as a token of his love.

Life got in the way and their lives took separate paths.

The central little pendant in the earring is made from the melted down gold from that ring that he gave her all those years ago.

Wedding ring symbolism has remained consistent; a ring is a circle, and thus has no beginning or end, representing the never-ending union of marriage. ‘The Midsummer’ Pendant also has no beginning and no end. However it twists and turns and loops and intertwines because that reflects life and marriage. It’s made with 18 karat gold and three diamonds, which are discreetly set and represent the special Midsummers in Karlskoga, a place that means so much to so many people, including me.

The Not Knot Ring looks like a knot, but as its name implies, is not.

The ring is make completely of one piece of silver folded and looped in on itself, looping together in the centre to create a closure. It reminds me of linking arms, a pinky swear or a ribbon loop. Every time I look at it, it has a different narrative.

The original ring was a prototype, which I’ve remade multiple times since, for myself in gold and silver and as commissions for customers. Each and every ring is unique.
